After completing his apprenticeship, Steve moved the
business to another building on the property, and also constructed an addition onto the
building to adapt to his growing business. In 1984, another addition was built, bringing
the total manufacturing space to 6600 square feet.
In 1987, antique restoration was completely phased out of
Steves business when Steigerwalds Design Center was opened in downtown Grove
City. The showroom was opened to display Steves custom cabinetwork, and several
factory built cabinet lines were added to the floor. Plumbing fixtures, wall
coverings and accessories complete the showroom and all decorating needs.
The year 1995, brought the most current expansion to
Steigerwalds Design Center, renamed Steigerwalds Kitchen
& Bath, Inc. The showroom and wood shop were joined into a new showroom
and shop on South Broad Street, Grove City. This expansion has joined the manufacturing
area and design center to create the most efficient business possible.
